Right back where we started from

New month, new week and new role. 

It’s been 15 years since I’ve worked in the number 2 market.

After being away working at news organizations in New York and Texas, California has called me home.

Today, I start as one of the founding team members for The LA Local, a bold initiative to cover the vibrant communities of Los Angeles, neighborhood by neighborhood.

When the opportunity arose to have a shot to have an impact in my home state region and working with leaders like Kristen Muller and Michele Siqueiros, it was an opportunity too good to pass up.

I’m looking forward to connecting and reconnecting with colleagues and the community in creative and intentional ways.

Southern California is a special place and if we are going to try something different to make information and news accessible to all so people can make the most informed decisions, it’s a swing worth taking.
